The fellow will perform studies on the function of proteins from the human Nek kinase family in normal and cancer cells, using techniques such as: interactome, phosphoproteome, gene silencing, bio-assay development etc.. This project will be part of a Thematic Project from the Sao Paulo Research Foundation - FAPESP, which aims at the comprehension of the physiological and patho-physiological functions of the Nek kinases and its exploration as candidate targets for the discovery and characterization of novel anti-cancer drug candidates.
