O’Brien Fellowship in Public Service Journalism Program

This is a reporting fellowship. If you are looking for a sabbatical, this is not the program for you.

O’Brien fellows will leave after an academic year with a world-class project on a topic of state, regional, national or international interest. See the Our Work section of their website for examples of the journalism produced by past fellows.

JSPS-UNU Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Jointly organized by the United Nations University and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the JSPS–UNU Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is designed to provide promising, highly qualified, young researchers with the opportunity to conduct advanced research in sustainability in co-operation with host researchers at Japanese universities and research institutions. The JSPS-UNU Postdoctoral Fellowship Program begins on 1 September and the selected Fellows are required to be in Japan by this date.

Internships at the Global Center on Adaptation

The Global Center on Adaptation actively supports students and young professionals to become leaders in climate change adaptation. The internship takes place in the Netherlands at the premises of the Global Center on Adaptation, in Rotterdam and/or in Groningen. During the Program, Young Leaders work independently and with a team of experts on different assignments in an international and diverse environment.

The Young Leaders Program is currently open for applications for the period of May – August 2020 (4 months total).
