29/08-11/09/2016 - Intensive Programme: "Analysis and Management of Anthropogenic Natural Hazards and Disasters" (Naxos)

An Intensive Program on the subject: “Analysis and Management of Anthropogenic Natural Hazards and Disasters” will take place during 29/08/2016-11/09/2016, on Naxos Islands, Cyclades, Greece.

The Intensive Programme is organized from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University, University of Trieste and University of Haifa, in the framework of the project "McAgenda", funded by Erasmus+.

The Programme comprises of background subjects covering most of the theoretical aspects of Natural Hazards.

Developing relations between citizens, solidarity, protection of the environment, artistic collaboration – every initiative is unique but all of them pursue the same objective: to strengthen the notion of “living together”.

This is a forum for dialogue about the realities affecting young people in Europe, and also a time for work and thinking – a genuine melting pot of ideas and cultures.

Media and most of all new media are taking a significant place in lives of the youth. Media are becoming their way of expression, socializing tool and a source of information, which strongly form their point of view at the World and reality.

Media active on internet are becoming a tool for disinformation spreading, halftruths and hateful statements against the members of ethnical groups, minorities or others.
