In order to ensure the daily issues faced by rural poor people and their communities are acknowledged, it is important that their stories are heard and their voices are amplified. The Thomson Reuters Foundation, with funding from the United Nation’s International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), will select journalists to attend the IFAD’s conference on Jan. 23 to 26, 2017. IFAD works with those most affected by poverty, food security, gender inequality, environment and climate change.
