4 PhD Positions, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden (2017)

There will be four Ph.D. positions within one National project that collaborates also with Brazilian researchers, and one Nordic/Baltic project that collaborates with academia and industry in the Nordic/Baltic region. Both project attempts to leverage the unprecedented benefits of Synchrophasor Technology (aka PMU technology) at different voltage levels to transform monitoring, control and protection systems to be used in future grids to steer Renewable Energy Sources through their power-electronic interface so to provide flexibility functions and services.

29/11-01/12/2016 - Young Faces Conference: Strategic Cybersecurity Policy Development in Southeast Europe

This year’s programme will develop participants’ understanding of challenges in cybersecurity governance; explore best practices and relevant tools for developing and implementing cybersecurity policies. At the end of the programme, the participants will be informed about tools for cybersecurity governance development, devising cybersecurity strategies and action plans, identifying the needs of stakeholders and conceptualising multistakeholder discussions on cybersecurity.

The EU-funded Horizon 2020 IDENTITY project will host and organise the 5th International Workshop on Biometrics and Forensics (IWBF2017) at the University of Warwick, UK, from 4 to 5 April 2017.

IWBF2017 is an international forum devoted specifically to facilitate synergies in research and development among the areas of multimedia forensics, forensic biometrics, and forensic science.
