22-27/6/2015- Study Visit: Youth Work in Lebanon and Cultural Identities: “Diversity of Communities: Richness or?” (Lebanon)

The study visit will enable participants to gain insight on the institutional and political framework of youth work in Lebanon and different approaches and opportunities for youth engagement.

Most of the Youth engagement in Lebanon is related to religious or political affiliations. Lebanon has 18 confessions and most political parties also carry a religious color. Both religious communities and political parties have youth departments or activities targeting young people.

This seminar will give participants a deeper understanding of violent extremism and concrete methods for working with youth in danger of being influenced by violent extremism.This thematic seminar will investigate and compare different political, ethnic and religious forms of violent extremism which in recent years have appealed to young persons in Europe and its neighbouring countries.

The main aim of the project is to introduce youth entrepreneurship as a tool of fighting youth unemployment and empower youngsters to start their creative search for entrepreneurial opportunities.

"Creative Entrepreneur: The Power of Imagination in Business" is a 7-day training course for youth workers/youth leaders and also unemployed young people.
