Migration is one of the major social, economic and political issues of the contemporary societies and is challenge both for migrants and for the hosting communities. Newcomers are people who were proud yesterday of their homes, position in a society, very often they are well educated, but they are refugees, migrants or asylum-seekers now. We see that youth organizations and young people can be the key problem-solvers through their daily work to find and integrate newcomers. If organizations are not inclusive, the other layers of society can easily exclude all “newcomers” as well.

Project „Colors of diversity“ is our reaction to current situation in Europe. We are daily observers of something we can not touch, but we can feel it. It is fear of change, fear of something unknown or something we think it is so different that we can not accept in our lives. On the other hand we already implemented various Erasmus+ projects and there, we experienced different observations including willingness to research about other cultures, to listen, to compare, to find out and to understand.

09-17/04/2018 - Ιntegration of non- formal education methods to youth works for refugees (Τουρκία)

The methodology of the training will be based on the non-formal education methods such role-plays, case studies and group work and there will be aspace for participants’ to try out their own methods.

Mainly of the refugee population is young people aged between 13-30 and when it is looked up the percentage of young population (aged 13-30), it is around 60% and in Turkey the counts get more and more to the 80% of all refugee population.

Most of those young people had to be educated to prevent their marginalization in future and included in the society.

The Youth Peace Camp engages young people and youth organizations from conflict-affected regions in dialogue and conflict transformation activities based on human rights education and intercultural learning during and after the camp.

The 2018 Youth Peace Camp will bring together 60 to 70 young people from the following conflict-affected communities:
