The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) invites applications for 10 two-year Postdoctoral Fellowships in Cancer Research. This Program provides interdisciplinary training and research opportunities in state-of-theart research facilities for excellent young scientists, no longer than 2 years past graduation, who wish to work at the forefront of cancer research in any of the following topics:
- Cell and Tumor Biology, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology
- Functional and Structural Genomics, Systems Biology
- Epidemiology, Cancer Risk Factors, Cancer Epigenomics
- Tumor Immunology
- Infection and Cancer, Tumor Virology
- Imaging and Radiology, Medical Physics
- Translational Cancer Research
The DKFZ is Germany’s leading Cancer Research Center situated in the biomedical campus of the Heidelberg University in close vicinity to Heidelberg’s city center. Heidelberg is home of other top research centers including the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Max-Planck Institute for Medical Research (MPI) and the Center for Molecular Biology in Heidelberg (ZMBH), with whom the DKFZ maintains close relationships.
For applications a qualification equivalent to a PhD or MD (Dr. rer. nat., Dr. med.) is requested from all applicants. Applicants are selected in a competitive process. The application material (including a one page statement of research interests, curriculum vitae, copy of latest degree certificate and two letters of recommendation) needs to be submitted in English. In addition a list of three potential research groups/divisions in which the applicant might want to work should be submitted
