Financial Controller (Komotini)

Pwc's client, a well-established organization in Komotini, seeks to recruit a Financial Controller.

Main responsibilities

Manages and oversees the daily/weekly/monthly operations of the accounting department
Ensures accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
Monitors and analyzes accounting data
Generates financial reports, prepares financial statements and other financial notes
Establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies and principles according to Greek law and statutory regulations
Ensures compliance with Tax requirements and obligations, and follows up to new legislations
Supports and supervises the year-end Accounting & Tax obligations
Manages & assists to all month-end and year-end closing reports and Costing Analysis
Cooperates with the Internal Audit function and coordinates the resolution of internal audit findings
Provides effective support to other teams inside Finance functions to ensure smooth processes execution and effective financial support for business functions

Main qualifications / People characteristics

BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
MSc will be considered an advantage
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a related role
3-5 years in a supervisory position
Previous experience in the Food Production sector and in will be considered an asset
Proven experience in industrial costing
Relevant certification will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of Greek GAAP & IFRS
Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel & PowerPoint
Experience with ERP accounting systems; Entersoft Business Suite is preferable
Leadership & people management skills
Strong organizational skills with effective time management
Accuracy & detail orientation
