The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.
The postdoctoral positions are available in the research field of gate tunable superconducting quantum devices. The positions are funded by a highly competitive FET-Open research grant awarded by the European Union to the University of Konstanz along with five other European Institutions. The two experimental (exp.) postdoctoral positions are in the groups of Prof. Di Bernardo and Prof. Scheer, and the theoretical (theor.) postdoctoral position is in the group of Prof. Belzig, all at the Physics Department of the University of Konstanz.
The research program focuses on the development of cutting-edge technology for the next generation of large-scale computing and quantum computing with high energy efficiency. The program offers high visibility and development opportunities in the academic world through collaborations and exchanges with other institutions that are within the consortium. The working language is English.
