Foundation of Polish Science – the largest non-governmental organisation supporting science in Poland, under its project: International Research Agendas (IRAP), funded with European Regional Development Fund, seeks candidates for a position of Postdoc and PhD students at The International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) – led in Warsaw by prof. Maciej Wojtkowski and prof. Krzysztof Palczewski.
The Institute is seeking highly motivated and creative candidates with the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees interested in developing new analytical and scalable computational tools for analysis of high-throughput single-cell transcriptomics and epigenomics data.
The candidates for the PhD student positions should have a strong background in math and computer sciences. No medical, genomics, or bioinformatics background is required just inclination to acquire such knowledge is a must. The candidate for the Postdoc position is expected to have a strong background in bioinformatics/computational biology, experience in analyzing highly dimensional biological datasets and to acquire knowledge about single-cell genomics.
