PhD student position and postdoc position open for multimodal optical imaging

A PhD student position and a postdoc position is open for application at the Medical University of Vienna. This position is funded by the EU project REAP for up to 4 years starting from Jan. 1st, 2021. The tasks for this position includes designing, assembling, testing, and applying multimodal imaging systems involving optical coherence tomography, photoacoustic tomography, photoacoustic microscopy, and nonlinear imaging. REAP is a multinational joint project with collaborators in Netherlands, Finnland, Spain, Italy, Germany and Austria. All the partners' complementary and multidisciplinary expertise in optics, chemistry, biology, material sciences, etc. will be combined together to pursue the goal of revealing drug tolerant persister cells, which are the culprit of cancer treatment failure.
