Postdoctoral Positions in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing & Automotive Engineering, Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico (2015-2016)

As part of the ITESM research strategy in enhancing the research in strategic research areas the Tecnológico de Monterrey is strengthening its research capacity in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Automotive Engineering. Therefore, Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), opens four positions for Full Time Postdoctoral Researchers in the fields of

Mechanical / Automotive Engineering
- Computer Modeling and Experimental Validation of Automotive Systems Performance, including composite / biomaterial components for suspensions, body structure and engines.
- Advanced manufacturing processes, including but not limited to the modeling and simulation of manufacturing processes and tooling for prototype runs by additive manufacturing or similar processes
- Advanced processing of multimaterial – multiproperty components, with an emphasis of the elimination of high energy consuming processes such as welding and heat treatment
- Advanced in line metrology systems for part certification, with an emphasis on vision and laser systems for large surface characterization

The Postdoctoral Researchers will work under the supervision of the Consortium Engineering Research Group. The Consortium coordinates the efforts of three of the most important Tier 1 suppliers of components for the Automotive Industry, which cooperate with ITESM in the development of new manufacturing processes, materials and components for the next generation of automotive systems. Postdocs will have the opportunity of doing research stays at important automotive engineering research centers in Mexico and abroad, as required by their particular project goals.
