Furniture Design Award in Singapore, 2015

The Furniture Design Award (FDA) is an annual furniture design competition organised by the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC). The Award aims to uncover budding design talents and be a reputable showcase for the unique creations of the world’s best creative minds. Increasingly, the Award has become a platform for exchange and networking amongst furniture manufacturers and designers internationally. FDA 2016 will take on a ‘free style’ approach where designers are welcomed to exercise their creativity without restrictions, and demonstrate their originality through this open call for submissions.

Eligibility
- Open to local (Singapore) and international participation;
- Open to participants of all backgrounds, including design students and professionals;
- Participation is on individual basis only;
- Entries must be original works of the entrant, who will be recognised as the sole designer of the said entries throughout the course of the competition;
- Entries must be newly created and unpublished (never appeared in the market as a product, featured in any newspapers, magazines, exhibitions or been a winner of other competitions.);
- Entries that infringe, breach, prejudice or violate the property, interests or rights (including but not limited to contractual rights, user rights, copyright, design rights and all other proprietary and intellectual property rights) of any third party will be disqualified.

Prizes
SGD20, 000 Cash + Certificate & Trophy + 12sqm exhibition booth in IFFS/AFS 2017. All other finalists will be given a certificate of participation.
