You will be part of the Directorate General International and European Relations, which has 120 staff members. You will be assigned to a team in the External Developments Division, which conducts economic analysis on the global economy and key non-EU countries, such as the United States, United Kingdom and China. It also coordinates the global part of the Eurosystem/ECB staff macroeconomic projections and conducts simulation and scenario analysis related to the international environment. Key analytical projects currently encompass work on international trade (including trade models), trends in global inflation, repercussions of high global indebtedness, and the post-pandemic recovery of the world economy. In your role as trainee, you will be part of a team that contributes to these analytical workstreams and/or supports data management in the Division.
