As European students are easing back to (physical or virtual) class after the summer break, the #CedefopPhotoAward returns for a sixth year to give vocational education and training (VET) learners a chance to have some fun and win amazing prizes.
The award, Cedefop’s initiative to promote excellence in VET, offers young learners, as well as adults in continuing education, the chance to showcase their talent.
Teams of up to four learners in the European Union, Norway and Iceland are invited to share their VET experience related to green or digital skills in a creative photostory and/or video, accompanied by a narrative of up to 100 words, explaining the idea behind their work.
For the first time this year, participants have the option to choose between creating a photostory (of four to five photos), or a short video (up to 60 seconds), or both, on ‘vocational education and training: your green or digital skills story’.
Prizes include trips, in the first half of 2022, to the European vocational skills week celebrations or to the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.
Two photostory winning teams, accompanied by their teacher/tutor, will take part in the European vocational skills week as nominees for the top spot at the VET excellence awards ceremony. The winning team of the Prix Du Jury for the best video will travel to Thessaloniki for the Thessaloniki Documentary festival in March 2022.
Cedefop will showcase the photostories/videos of the winners and runners-up in exhibitions on both occasions.
