The Cluster of Excellence Balance of the Microverse invites applications for
4 Postdoctoral Researcher Positions
Postdoctoral Researcher “Microbial Ecology” (m/f/d)
For the new Viral Ecology and Omics group of Prof. Bas Dutilh, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in environmental microbiology or virology, microbial ecology, meta’omics, or a closely related field.
Postdoctoral Researcher “Eco/Evolutionary Modelling” (m/f/d)
Join the new Viral Ecology and Omics group as a postdoctoral researcher to study the emergence of viruses by using theoretical/computational modelling of biological, ecological, and/or evolutionary mechanisms.
Postdoctoral Researcher “Microbiome Modelling” (m/f/d)
To further strengthen the dry lab side of this group, we are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to study the roles of viruses in microbiome dynamics by using mechanistic, data-driven modelling.
Postdoctoral Researcher “Innate Immunity” (m/f/d)
As part of the International Scientists Exchange Program of our Cluster of Excellence, we invite applications for a postdoctoral position to study host-microbe interactions focusing on extracellular vesicles, innate immunity, and inflammasomes in the context of infectious and inflammatory diseases including sepsis. This postdoctoral researcher will be jointly hosted by the groups of Dr. Vijay Rathinam (UConn Health) and Prof. Michael Bauer (Jena University Hospital).
