Technical Design Manager (m/f) - Electrification (OCS) at DB International GmbH (Tel Aviv)

For their clients in Germany and around the world they develop innovative and sustainable mobility and transport solutions resulting from their experience gained from more than 40 years of project work and the know-how of Deutsche Bahn.

For our Electrification Project in Israel, we are seeking a Technical Design Manager (m/f) Electrification (OCS). The job comprehends the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving design from the client's designer (tender design, preliminary design)
- Finalizing tender documents
- Evaluating bids regarding technical compliance with the Request for Proposal (RFP) and with standards and codes
- Evaluating alternative bids and suggestions for improvements/changes
- Reviewing and approving design from the contractor (once established)
- Consulting Israel Railways in all questions related to electrification design, execution and mainte-nance, i.e. overhead catenary, power supply, SCADA, maintenance of electrification facilities
- Technical advice to the client in cases of claims
- Reviewing cost and budget forecasts
- Reviewing construction time schedule
- Designing review reports

Desired Skills and Experience
- University degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in design, construction or maintenance of electrification facilities
- Several years’ professional experience in railway projects, preferably of DB, with construction under operation and complex interfaces
- Fluent business English skills
- Ability to represent and discuss technical solutions with project members, and representatives of authorities and ministries
- Willingness to relocate Israel for at least 2 years
- Appropriate IT-skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- International driving license beneficial
