Four (4) PhD Fellowships, Western Sydney University, Australia (2015-2016)

Students are invited to apply for the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS). The IPRS award provides for the full cost of tuition and overseas student health cover. The Department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine at the Western Sydney University (Australia) offers exciting Ph.D. projects in a range of areas including drug discovery for anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective diseases including Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Eligibility criteria
Applicants require a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, biochemistry or a related area with excellent undergraduate marks, and a MSc with a strong research component (preferably in the area of drug discovery and/or natural products chemistry). Knowledge of one or more of these areas is desired: Cell based assays, high throughput screening, HPLC and a basic understanding of NMR spectroscopy.
