The Alexia Foundation promotes the power of photojournalism to give voice to social injustice, to respect history lest we forget it and to understand cultural difference as our strength. Through grants, scholarships and special projects, The Alexia Foundation supports photographers as agents for change.
The Alexia Foundation is accepting applications for their grant program to help photography students produce bodies of work that share the Foundation’s goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding. The Foundation welcomes proposals for still photography or multimedia projects that explore cultural understanding in or near the student’s local community. While the Foundation does not discourage proposals on topics outside the students’ region, no extra weight is given to these topics when determining winning Grant recipients.
