The T.C. Beirne School of Law at The University of Queensland is seeking to appoint three Research Fellows as part of the Australian Research Council funded Laureate Project – Harnessing Intellectual Property to Build Food Security.
The successful candidates will be expected to undertake research into intellectual property and food security; to publish from the research; and to participate in a range of outreach activities associated with the Laureate project.
The person
The successful applicants will have completed or made substantial progress towards a PhD (or have equivalent experience), have experience and knowledge in intellectual property and/or related areas such as food security, agriculture, plant or animal breeding, food production, processing, or a relevant geographical area within the Asia-Pacific region. We are particularly interested in applicants who combine these skills with an interest or experience in an interdisciplinary area of research, such as science technology studies or socio-legal studies, or have an interest in anthropology, history or related areas of study.
Remuneration
These are full-time, fixed term appointments for 3 years at Academic level A or B. The remuneration package for Academic Level A will be in the range $60,829 – $82,510 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of $71,169 – $96,537 p.a.); or Academic Level B will be in the range $86,853 – $103,138 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $101,618 to $120,671 p.a.).
