The Zurich Graduate School of Economics (ZurichGSE) receives about 300 applications and admits between 12 and 16 students each year. Funding is guaranteed for four years, with those making satisfactory progress receiving a fifth year. Departmental scholarships are offered for the first year of the Ph.D. program, and recipients are expected to work as teaching assistants from the second year onwards. Research assistant positions are also available. In addition, the ZurichGSE offers three UBS Center Scholarships. All scholarships are awarded competitively on the basis of academic merit.
