A consortium of 17 institutions associated with the GEM Ph.D. School has just been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Joint Doctoral Network (MSCA-JD) entitled GEM-DIAMOND (2022-2026), under the new Horizon Europe program.
This latest iteration of the GEM Ph.D. School on Globalisation, Europe, and Multilateralism (GEM) will focus on Democratic Institutions, the rise of Alternative MOdels, and mounting Normative Dissensus (DIAMOND). This multi-faceted project will hire 16 early-stage researchers to jointly produce pioneering research on the state of liberal democracy and the rule of law in the face of mounting dissensus within and beyond the European Union.
All 16 MSCA doctoral fellowships are funded by the EU and they all include: (i) three-year fulltime salary (48k/year), (ii) a double doctoral degree, (iii) joint training and publications opportunities, and (iv) sponsored mobility involving at least two countries.
