Electrical Engineer

Role Profile Description:

The position will be part of the Radio Networks and Power Management team, handling the design and the operational support of the company’s Power and HVAC infrastructure.
The role’s responsibilities include the optimization and the operational support of critical electromechanical (EM) infrastructure of the company’s central and remote telecommunication sites. Moreover, the role’s activities extend to the drafting of technical specifications for emergency power equipment and surge protection systems and the planning of new infrastructure implementation projects.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Design and development of Power and HVAC solutions for ongoing construction & modernization projects on central and remote telecommunication sites.
2. Design and optimization of grounding and surge protection systems of the company’s telecommunication sites according to the National and European standards.
3. Electrical board and equipment documentation and specifications maintenance and review.
4. Optimization of the monitoring tools (NMS) available for the EM equipment and the environmental sensors of the company’s sites.
5. Operational support, which includes equipment fault and malfunction troubleshooting, maintenance of active equipment inventory, new equipment acceptance and EM NMS integration as well as EM NMS troubleshooting. Furthermore, the role provides assistance and guidance to the company’s technical department and external contractors for issues relevant to the EM infrastructure.
6. Spare parts management for electromechanical (EM) equipment including Electrical Boards, Power Generators, UPS, and HVAC systems.
7. Standby duties (rotation) for 2nd level support to the technical department for issues pertaining to the department’s responsibilities.
8. Monitoring the external maintenance and technical support contracts of critical EM infrastructure.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. At least 2 years of experience as an electrical engineer in a position with similar duties.
3. Solid understanding of electrical drawings.
4. Advanced skills in AutoCAD (2D).
5. Operational experience in Power Generators, UPS units, and HVAC systems.
6. Familiarity with ELOT HD 384 standard.
7. Excellent communication skills in Greek & English.
8. Positive attitude with strong Interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to take initiatives and propose new ideas. Flexibility in adopting new technologies.
10. Ability to plan and execute projects autonomously or as part of a workgroup.
11. Ability to multitask and deliver results in a timely manner.
12. Military obligations (if any) fulfilled.

Additional Requirements/Qualifications considered an asset:

1. Experience in the Telecommunications industry.
2. A master's degree in telecommunications will be considered as an asset.
3. Experience in Electrical Panel design.
4. Further CAD software knowledge (SEE electrical, CADdy++) will be appreciated.
5. Field experience is considered an advantage.
