Electrician of the Solar Energy and Desalination Research Group at the Cyprus Institute (CyI)

The Cyprus Institute invites applications for an Electrician position for the Solar Energy and Desalination (SED) Research Group of EEWRC. S/he will support research projects and operations of The Cyprus Institute both at the Athalassa campus and the Pentakomo Field Facility and s/he will perform a range of jobs such as electrical connections, installations, maintenance of electrical and electromechanical systems. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of the Energy group, and s/he will be working in collaboration with the Technical Instrumentation Developer.

Qualifications:
- Technical School diploma (Electrical direction) or equivalent
- Experience in electrical Installations
- License by the Electrical & Mechanical Services (EMS)

Additional required skills and knowledge:
- Knowledge on how to prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
- Good knowledge of the English language
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computer software, in particular Office and CAD software
- Ability to operate in a multicultural/multidisciplinary environment
- Knowledge of the Greek language will be considered an advantage
