Job Description
This position is part of a recently funded project under the European Union's Horizon Europe program. The University of Twente is collaborating with academic/research organizations and industrial partners from 7 European countries, pooling their expertise in renewable energy, combustion, techno-economics, and socio-political science. Together, they are joining forces to address the challenges and opportunities in the field of zero-emissions supercritical gas turbine engine operating on locally synthesized renewable liquid and gaseous fuels (e.g. methanol or hydrogen) coupled with decentralized carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and to create innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
The EngD program is a 2-year post-MSc technological program with a focus on technological and process design. This program at the University of Twente contains an educational part that will be followed at the University of Twente, and a design project that will be carried out in cooperation with a consortium of universities and companies around Europe. The educational program will have an in-depth and broadening character with ample attention for professional development and will be partly tailored to the design project.
