Internship Programme at the International AIDS Society (Switzerland)

Durban has been selected to host the 21stInternational AIDS Conference from 18th to 22nd July 2016 (AIDS 2016).

The intern will be based at the IAS Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland. He/she will report to the Director, Conference and will work very closely with the Associate Project Manager responsible for the Scholarship Programme. The internship is full-time and will last 7 months from 11th January 2016 to 31st July 2016.

****Purpose of the Internship:****

The intern will support the day-to-day running of the AIDS 2016 Scholarship Programme.

****Main Responsibilities:****

Support the Associate Project Manager in database management for all scholarship recipients;
Be responsible for email communications with scholarship recipients;
Assist with scholarship notifications;
Support the coordination of the following scholarship components:
Flights (with travel agent)
Registration
Accommodation
Visa support (with immigration team)
Per diem
Assist in running the scholarship desk onsite:
Set up of the desk in coordination with the Congress & Exhibitions team;
Assist the scholarship recipients during the Conference.

Perform any additional task requested by the Director, Conference and by the Associate Project Manager.
