As a trainee you will be assigned to one of the ECB’s business areas where you will gain hands-on experience by participating in the team’s day-to-day supervisory activities.
For example, you may work on some of the following tasks:
participating in risk meetings with supervised banks or banking supervisors;
assessing the impact of macroeconomic developments on the risk profile of banks;
scrutinising reports provided by banks and checking for undesirable developments;
checking whether banks are complying with supervisory demands and regulatory requirements and benchmarking them;
automating repetitive data processing tasks;
collecting and scrutinising data and producing tables, charts and reports;
combining theory and practice by working on projects related to the implementation of supervisory practices and standards;
contributing to one of the key supervisory processes, e.g. authorisations, supervisory technology or horizontal analyses.
