We are seeking highly motivated physicians currently conducting specialized medical training and wishing to enhance their careers. The DKFZ Clinician Scientist Fellowships are characterized by protected research time, comprehensive training offers and intersectoral mentoring relationships.
DKFZ working contracts for Clinician Scientist Fellows in the program are exclusively intended for academic research. Fellowships are initially offered for two years and can be extended to four years in part-time, e.g. if clinical work needs to be interspersed.
DKFZ-PMCC Clinician and Medical Scientist Program Fellowships
The DKFZ-Princess Margaret Cancer Center (PMCC) international program for clinician and medical scientists in translational cancer reserach and medicine is part of the DKFZ Clinician Scientist Program. The core element of the program is joint tandem research projects conducted at the DKFZ in Heidelberg (Germany) and at the PMCC in Toronto (Canada).
This special fellowship aims to promote excellent professional training and education of clinician and medical scientists in oncology and to provide the basis for a world-class transatlantic platform for translational cancer research, as well as for long-term interactions between the participating centers.
