The Department of Cardiovascular Genetics and the Laboratory of Forensic Genetics has a vacancy for an Associate Scientist.
The successful candidate will be engaged in advancing research, education and the specialized services of the Department/Laboratory. Specifically, she/he will:
- Contribute to the services of the Department/Laboratory
- Carry out research in the field of Cardiovascular Genetics and Forensic Genetics
- Develop research projects
- Prepare and write grant proposals and scientific papers
- Contribute to the supervision of MSc and PhD students
REQUIREMENTS
• A PhD degree in any Biological Science, Chemistry or closely related field
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages

Experience in the above-mentioned research areas, and/or hands-on experience in cardiovascular and forensic genetics research, and/or demonstrated experience in authoring manuscripts and preparing funding applications and/or experience and a publication record in cardiovascular biology research and diagnostic vascular imaging data analysis will be considered as an advantage.
