Norwegian Refugee Council seeks for an Emergency Response Manager (ERM) who will be responsible for the overall management of the European refugee emergency response in the field (currently Serbia/Macedonia and Greece). The programme portfolio includes NRCs core competencies; ICLA (Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance), Camp Management, WASH/Shelter and distribution. The programme is planned to be of a light nature, and will seek to respond to needs for a limited period of time until more formalised and structured mechanisms are in place.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from working as an Emergency Manager in the humanitarian sector
- Experience from working in complex contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Knowledge of the context in Western Balkans/Greece
- Fluency in English. Greek and/or Serbo-Croat language skills an asset
- Experience of managing a variety of donor contracts (EU/ECHO etc)
- Skills in monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven communication, interpersonal, representation, negotiation and leadership skills
- NRC experiences an asset.
This is a 3 months assignment with the possibility of extension.
