As part of its programme to provide postdoctoral research opportunities for scholars of proven academic excellence, University College Dublin is pleased to announce the Craig Dobbin Newman Fellowship in Mental Health.
The Craig Dobbin Newman Fellow is expected to contribute to the development and continuation of an active inter-disciplinary research programme which is focused on the problem of Suicide in Ireland. The Fellow will be based in the UCD School of Medicine and Medical Science and the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy & Mental Health Research in St Vincent’s University Hospital.
Applications are invited from candidates who hold a doctoral degree and have experience in research methodology and the analysis of quantative and qualitative data. Applicants should have a strong interest in the field of mental health and suicide research and have the ability to collaborate across disciplines. The successful applicant will have already published in high impact journals and will show an interest in addressing clinical, epidemiological and psycho-social issues relevant to suicide in Ireland, using research methodology.
The Craig Dobbin Newman Fellowship comes with a generous stipend of €35,000 per annum and is tenable for two years.
