Applications are invited for five PhD studentships in the optics of semiconductor nanostructures at the Department of Physics, University of Sheffield, UK.
The research will be performed in a group carrying out leading-edge research in very well equipped laboratories. For details of the group see http://ldsd.group.shef.ac.uk/.
Details of some of the projects available may be found at http://www.shef.ac.uk/physics/research/semiconductor-physics-projects. The topics include quantum optical circuits, single spin phenomena, quantum dots in nanowires, exciton-polariton condensates and graphene-like 2D materials.
The fully-funded studentships covering maintenance and fees are available to UK and EU citizens.
