QuakeCoRE, a new Centre of Research Excellence hosted by the University of Canterbury, is offering three two-year postdoctoral fellowships to motivated individuals with a research background in Earthquake Engineering, to work with a highly skilled team of experts in building a cohesive research programme under one of three different ‘flagship’ areas.
The successful applicants will have a key role, under the direction of the QuakeCoRE Flagship Leader, in contributing to QuakeCoRE’s research programme of collaborative research.
Each postdoctoral position will be aligned with the following three flagships:
- Flagship 1: Ground Motion Simulation – Flagship led by Brendon Bradley (brendon.bradley@canterbury.ac.nz), position based at the University of Canterbury
- Flagship 2: Liquefaction Impacts on Infrastructure – Flagship led by Misko Cubrinovski (misko.cubrinovski@canterbury.ac.nz), position based at the University of Canterbury
- Flagship 4: Next-generation Infrastructure: Low-damage and Repairable Solutions -Flagship led by Ken Elwood (k.elwood@auckland.ac.nz) & Stefano Pampanin (stefano.pampanin@canterbury.ac.nz), position will be based at either the University of Auckland or University of Canterbury, decided in consultation with the successful candidate.
Applicants require a Ph.D. in Earthquake Engineering, or a related field.
