Assistant publishing manager (Art history, history)
Your role:
- Supporting the publishing manager by performing different functions
- Interacting with authors to sort out various (administrative) aspects about the book projects, follow-up schedules, dealing with the in house communication and work flow
- Writing blurb texts, book presentations, copy-editing or rewriting of texts etc.
- All of this under the supervision of the publishing manager abroad and the local office manager.
Your profile:
- A relevant academic background
- Native English speaker, good knowledge of French; knowledge of German, other European languages or Latin will be an advantage
- Interested in art history and (european) history
- Excellent knowledge of MS office programs (mainly Word and Excel), some knowledge of XML, InDesign or databases will be an advantage
- You are a very accurate, systematic and efficient team player
