The Research group Noncoding Principles of Energy Homeostasis (Kornfeld Lab) is seeking applications from:
Postdoctoral fellows and/or PhD students
for a 5-year project committed to by the European Research Council (ERC).
The successful applicant will be driving cutting-edge research projects trying to understand the role of noncoding RNAs like microRNAs and lncRNAs in the transgenerational inheritance of obesity. In this project we are interested in addressing the following research questions:
- What are the transgenerational consequences of obesity in mice?
- Are noncoding RNAs in the germline involved in ‘paternal programming’ of obesity?
- Which (epigenetic) signatures of obesity are inherited across the germline barrier?
- Can we identify transgenerational biomarkers of obesity?
