Cristalplant Design Contest, 2016

The Cristalplant® Design Contest calls for all creative designers for its eighth edition. Both young and senior designers are welcome to participate. That is right, this year the Cristalplant contest is open to all designers without any distinction of age. But let us look more in detail at the categories and requirements of the Contest call for participation:

- The YOUNG DESIGNERS category includes all creative designers born after 01/01/1981. They are invited to design a cooker extractor hood in Cristalplant®,

- The SENIOR DESIGNERS category includes all creative designers born before 01/01/1981. They are also invited to design a cooker extractor hood in Cristalplant®.

At this point, it is time to reveal the name of the partner of this new edition of the Cristalplant Design Contest, although some may have already guessed it. Again, an Italian design company operating in the international scene. Again, a company that believes in quality and the importance of innovation and design. We are talking about Elica!

The projects selected upon the jury’s final decision shall be presented to the public and the press during the award ceremony (during the Milan 55th Salone Internazionale del Mobile, at the Fuorisalone). The jury, composed by qualified personalities from the world of design and furniture, will pick the winner from among the selected projects. The winning author will be entitled to develop the design of a new cooker hood in Cristalplant® in collaboration with the Elica Design Center. The decision on the possible manufacture of the product by 2018 will be at the pure discretion of Elica. This shall be a considerable opportunity for visibility for the winner, who will have a chance to work alongside established designers and deal with significant opportunities for professional growth.
