Energy Policy Officer at WWF Hellas

As an Energy Policy Officer, you will play a key role in influencing energy policies at the national and EU levels, while also contributing to WWF’s global climate and energy team. You will work with a dynamic team to drive transformative policies that promote renewable energy, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. Your efforts will directly contribute to WWF’s mission to safeguard the planet’s ecosystems while supporting the transition to a climate neutral economy.

Key responsibilities

Policy development and advocacy: Help shape WWF Greece’s advocacy efforts on energy policy, focusing on phasing-out oil and gas, while developing renewable energy and storage in an environment friendly and socially inclusive manner.
Policy advocacy: Communicate WWF’s energy policy positions to policy-makers through reports, briefings, and presentations.
Research and analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of energy systems, trends, and policies to provide strategic recommendations and inform WWF’s energy-related campaigns.
Strategy development: Support the development of WWF’s energy strategy, focusing on the integration of clean energy solutions and the phasing out of fossil fuels.
