Eindhoven University of Technology has two PhD positions available within INTERSECT. The first track is focused on defense and collaborative security monitoring and response. It looks at new ways to detect and identify attacks, attackers and suitable response in collaboration with others. The second track is a more general call on IoT security within the mentioned perspectives, with the expertise and interest of the applicant important to shape the direction.
The positions are within the SECurity cluster of TU Eindhoven, the Netherlands. This group offers a wide range of security topics, such as IoT security, network monitoring, social engineering and criminal markets, access control, formal methods and quantum security. Being part of the INTERSECT consortium provides contacts with many academic and industrial partners, ensuring relevance of the research. In addition to this, the SEC group also has excellent contacts with industry and direct access to the ESH-SOC (Eindhoven Security Hub Security Operation Center), an operative environment collecting threat data from third party IT infrastructures.
