The Cyprus Institute is looking for Research Technical Scientist(s) in Fundamental Physics Applications of HPC.
The successful candidates should be physicists with interest in lattice Quantum Chromodynamics, with experience in theoretical physics, programming, and data analysis. The successful candidates will contribute to the activities of the local group, and in particular will i) work on application codes of the group, including implementing new algorithms, scaling, optimizing, and porting new methods, ii) run these codes on leadership systems such as those available via EuroHPC, and iii) perform analysis and postprocessing of the resulting data, including documenting the results in presentations and preparing manuscripts.
Position Specific Responsibilities/activities:
Carry out research activities and software development in lattice QCD applications
Carry out simulations and analyses as required in RIF funded projects, including the preparation material documenting the results
Contribute to scientific publications
Contribute to project deliverables and participation in project meetings
Presentations in scientific conferences and participation in outreach events.
