The Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Journalism, Media and Globalisation welcomes applications from graduate students around the world. Students spend their first year studying at Aarhus University in Denmark. They spend their second year studying at a different European partner university: University of Amsterdam, City University London, University of Hamburg or Swansea University.
Students also have an opportunity to study at a non-European university during the second semester of their first year. The non-European partner universities are University of California at Berkeley, University of Technology Sydney and Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
After completing the 2-year programme students will be awarded either a dual or joint MA degree depending on their specialism university.
Eligibility
- Academic background in the related field;
- At least three months’ full-time work as a journalist;
- Applicants are expected to have a minimum Academic IELTS band score of 7.0 if they are not native English speakers (we only accept IELTS tests).
Scholarship
Partner Country scholarships (former category A)
- EUR 2,000 per year for travel costs + EUR 1,000 for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner Country whose location is situated less than 4000 km from the EMMC coordinating HEI;
- EUR 3,000 per year for travel costs + EUR 1,000 for installation costs for scholarship holder resident of a Partner country whose location is situated at 4000 km or more from the EMMC coordinating HEI;
- EUR 1,000 per month for the entire duration of the EMMC study programme (24 months maximum).
Programme Country scholarships (former category B)
- EUR 1,000 per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme Country for travel costs;
- EUR 1,000 per month for the entire duration of the EMMC study programme (24 months maximum).
