Open vacancy at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics

The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics is looking for a Post-Doctoral Fellow and/or a Laboratory Scientific Officer to join the Bioinformatics Department of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.

The Bioinformatics Department is active in research, education, and laboratory services, in line with the mission of CING. A key focus of the team is computational neuroscience, with particular emphasis on mathematical modelling and multi-modal neural data analysis.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will contribute to the EU HORIZON project META-BRAIN (Magnetoelectric and Ultrasonic Technology for Advanced Brain Modulation).

The position is for 12 months with the possibility of extension.

• A BSc and/or PhD degree in one of the following fields: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics, Chemical Sciences, or a closely related field
• Strong command of the English language
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills

The following will be considered as advantages:

Experience in computational neuroscience and/or mathematical modelling.
