2. Director of Programme Development and Quality (Lesvos).
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an NGO environment, including experience directing and coordinating programs both emergency and development contexts
- Experience in more than one of the Save the Children priority sectors: education; child protection; child rights governance; health and nutrition; food security and livelihoods; emergencies
- Demonstrated high experience in Child Protection in emergency
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills in a complex international setting
- Significant experience leading strategic planning and in programme design and proposal development
- Strong understanding of different methodologies of monitoring and evaluation and operational research and experience in developing integrated MEAL systems
- Ability to effectively establish a learning culture within an organisation
- Experience in successfully establishing and managing collaborative relationships and partnerships with donors, government counterparts and local NGOs
- Strong representation and influencing skills
- Experience of management of diverse workforce including effective performance management and utilisation of capacity building, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated use of positive coping strategies in stressful environments
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children's aims, values and principles
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- High flexibility.
Desirable:
- Previous experience and knowledge of Children on the Move programmes
- Knowledge of Save the Children systems and ways of working

3. Information, Communications and Media Manager (Lesvos).
Essential:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an NGO environment, including experience directing and coordinating programs both emergency and development contexts
- Proven experience of managing the production of communications materials (including information management) for INGOs or other similar organisations in humanitarian crises.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of different audiences including donors, journalists and the 'general public';
- The ability to support and manage the communications team in high-pressure situations, with changing deadlines and priorities;
- Experience acting as a media spokesperson and in capacity-building of media spokespeople. Understanding of how to manage strategic media engagement in politically sensitive environments essential;
- Proven ability to work with children and partners to gather case studies, testimonies and information on the humanitarian situation and on programmes;
- Creativity and good eye for a story
- Excellent understanding of communication and information needs across fundraising, media and campaigning activities, as well donor and 'Head Office' requirements and standards;
- Experience in capacity-building and managing communications teams;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion. Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy;
- An initiative-taking, proactive, inspiring attitude with the ability to manage and prioritise an unpredictable workload, work with a large network of colleagues remotely, and solve problems quickly with limited support;
- The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances;
- Commitment and interest in Save the Children's mission, vision and values. In particular, a good understanding of Save the Children mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support.
Desirable:
- Experience with design and audio-visual software an advantage.
