International Physics Competition 2026

The International Physics Competition (IPhyC) is open to students from around the world. Participants tackle challenging physics problems that develop their analytical thinking and deepen their understanding of physical concepts beyond the regular school curriculum.

Students compete across three rounds for special prizes worth upwards of 1,500 USD, along with national awards and Gold, Silver, and Bronze Honours for high-scoring finalists. All participants receive official certificates.

With only a pen, paper, and internet access required for the online rounds, students can participate from anywhere in the world.

Qualification Round

Semi-Final Round
- Completed as a supervised or digitally monitored exam

- Supervised, tool-free international final
- Conducted globally on a unified examination schedule
- Top-performing students receive international and national awards
