Danish Red Cross (DRC) is part of the global Red Cross Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement, which includes RCRC National Red Cross Societies in 190 countries.
DRC’s international strategy for 2015-2020 guides DRC’s international engagement, including the Europe region. DRC Europe region works in partnership with a number of RCRC partners in Europe, in particular the RCRC National Societies in Belarus, Ukraine and Greece as well as in South Caucasus and Central Europe and Kirgizstan.
The DRC Europe Regional Office is located in Copenhagen together with the DRC Headquarters. DRC’s work in Europe focuses on resilience building, disaster response, support to refugees, civil society development, psychosocial support as well as youth action and volunteering development.

1. DRC seeking Head of Operation (Lesvos, Greece)
Qualification and experience:
- 10 years of relevant experience in international programme management and/or emergency response
- Proven experience and technical knowledge of wide-ranging crosscutting issues, including vulnerability analysis, protection, community-mobilisation
- Extensive knowledge of the programme management cycle, incl. ability to develop, support, implement and report on work plan
- Ability to monitor programme activity implementation and financial management
- RCRC working experience
- Outstanding personal resilience and experience from working in stressful situations
- Willingness and capability to cope with staying in, and working under, very basic living conditions
- Team player
- Experience working with transit refugees in a local community is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Danish language skills will be an advantage.

2. Psychosocial Support Delegate (Lesvos, Greece)
Qualification and experience:
- Demonstrated skills and experience in PSS and facilitating PSS trainings
- RCRC experience would be an advantage
- Outstanding personal resilience and experience from working in stressful situations
- Experience working with rural and remote communities, preferably in the field of PSS
- Good command of English essential
- Arabic/Farsi/Urdu/Danish language skills will be an advance.
