Anatolia is seeking for an Academic Liaison and Instruction Librarian at the Bissell Library at the ACT division to cover temporary needs, as of April 2015. The Academic Liaison and Instruction Librarian reports to the Director of Anatolia/AES/ACT Libraries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- to develop and deliver library services to staff and students
- to teach Information Literacy Skills to undergraduate and graduate students
- to manage information resources budgets for the purchase of relevant academic content
- to provide high-quality information support, tuition, and specialist advice to individual users of the library
- to be the liaison of the library with relevant staff and students to promote awareness of new research and teaching in subject areas, so as to develop and fulfill potential information needs
- to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences and represents the library, as required, on committees and other groups both within ACT and externally and participate in any ad hoc working groups set up - to develop the library services
- to be able to manage projects and, additionally, undertake any other reasonable duties, as required, by the Library Director
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities:
- a degree in any subject plus a postgraduate qualification in Library or Information Management OR a degree in Library or Information Management is essential
- teaching experience at an academic level is required.
- excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Greek are important.
