The Doctorate in Education (EdD) programme recruits every two years and is a part-time course for people working primarily within the education environment.
Description
The part-time Doctorate in Education is designed to provide an education in applied research – meeting the needs of professionals working in areas related to educational training and development who can draw on their everyday practice.
The course recruits biennially with the next start date in October 2016.
The closing date for applications is 30 April 2016.

• Would you like to acquire skills as an independent researcher, to conduct and design your own research?
• Would you like to better understand issues related to your everyday work experience and context?
• Is there a work problem or puzzle to research?
Students are able to conduct their own programme of research over five years. In years one and two students attend teaching sessions in educational theory and research methods in the form of four weekend study blocks and design their research project which they carry out in years’ three, four and five. All EdD students work with a supervisory team who will support them throughout their studies.
