The Jensen group is looking to recruit talented postdoctoral researchers to our highly dynamic research group. The positions are part of research programmes supported by an ERC programme grant, a collaborative H2020 programme and the Danish Innovation Foundation.
Our research
We wish to understand how the intestinal epithelium forms and how adult stem cells in the forming organ are specified during development. The intestinal epithelium is associated with numerous disorders and we believe that insights into normal tissue development will allow us to harness the potential of both foetal and adult intestinal stem cell for the development of new treatment option for patients with intestinal disorders and model diseases in vitro. In order to address these key questions we use a number of different techniques including in vivo fate mapping to define cellular heritage, state of the art cell culture systems to identify signalling pathways that controls directed differentiation during embryonic and foetal stages and transplantation techniques .
