The third Frankfurt Summer School “Summer of Knowledge” organized by Goethe University will take place from 18 July to 12 August 2016.
Located at the Campuses Westend and Riedberg Frankfurt Summer School covers the subject areas ‘Legal Studies’, ‘Psychology’ and ‘Natural and Life Sciences’.
All courses are held in English.
The focus areas of the subject areas are:
1) Legal Studies - Law in Modern Societies – Fundamental, International and Interdisciplinary Aspects
2) Psychology - Social Psychology and Organizational Behavior. The Psychology track is also open to students of related fields such as Business Administration, Political Science and Sociology.
3) Natural and Life Sciences - Current and Ancient Biodiversity and Environments in the Context of Global Change.
- Legal Studies: At least one year of studies in the field of law
- Psychology: Be an undergraduate (first semester Bachelor) student in Psychology. This programme is also open to undergraduate and graduate students in Business Administration, Economics as well as to those of Social or Cultural Sciences.
- Natural and Life Sciences: Be a graduate student or advanced in an undergraduate programme (at least two years of studies). Subject orientation: biology, geology, environmental sciences, (physical) geography.
Excursions and study tours to the German cities of Heidelberg and Berlin as well as a weekend visit to the French town of Strasbourg are also part of the program.
The German language courses for beginners and more advanced learners take place in small learning groups.
