We work with thousands of partners in countries around the world, and employ staff in a wide variety of posts. Here in Greece, we have been operating since October 2015 in response to the needs of refugees. We have been implementing a multi-sectoral response in Lesvos, focusing on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Wash), Food and Non-Food Item (NFI) distribution, advocacy and protection activities. Oxfam is committed to increasing the support it provides in Greece and will begin operations also in the mainland.
Qualifications and Experience:

- Excellent English and either Arabic, Dari or Pashto are essential;
- Experience of community-based or community mobilisation work in a humanitarian context;
- Proven ability to build effective, constructive working relationships with other agencies and national authorities and service providers;
- You have demonstrated cultural sensitivity and commitment to downwards accountability and a rights-based approach;
- You are an effective and persuasive communicator and are able to adapt your communication style depending on the audience;
- You work well in a team and have outstanding diplomatic, social and intercultural skills;
- You have experience and skills in capacity-building;
- You are able to respectfully work with and accompany local partners;
- You have the ability to work under pressure with a high level of adaptability and initiative;
- Knowledge of Middle East culture is an asset, ideally in the field;
- Knowledge of international humanitarian law desirable;
- Experience working with refugees is desirable;
- Experience in sensitive data ethics and management;
- You have the ability to travel within Greece.
